The Manhattan Monologue Slam is featured monthly at Bennett Media Studios. This Live event has two segments. The first part showcases professional actors who each have 3 minutes to perform their monologue to a live audience, and a panel of industry judges. Then a winner is declared and invited back the following month to defend their title. After a brief intermission, part two begins and this is where the fun opens up for everyone. Audience members who signed up during the intermission, are invited on stage to perform their 30-second monologue. And from these performers, the audience votes for a winner who will have the opportunity to come back next month to participate in the championship. There always seems to be surprises as the range of acting and storytelling is so varied.
